Dr. Martin Ennis
Chairman of the Music Faculty at Cambridge University
Jeffery Wilson is one of the most inspirational teachers I have come across in many years of university work. While others, consciously or not, frequently indoctrinate pupils with their own ideas, Jeffery has the unusual ability to detect exactly what students need. As a result he is able to foster genuinely individual talents.
Annette Forkin
(Hon Sec Southend Music Festival)
Jeffery's excellence as an adjudicator derives largely from his ability to make musical education FUN! He manages to captivate competitors, teachers and audiences with his highly perceptive and extremely informative comments - all delivered with great panache and boundless energy
David Glossop
Head of Woodwind Teaching, Shropshire Music and Art Centre
I have enjoyed inviting Jeffery Wilson to take the Clarinet and Saxophone specialist days, because of his engaging personality with the young people from all parts of Shropshire who attend. Those young people with whom he works feel relaxed to give of their best efforts under his creative direction. The Woodwind staff here in Shropshire know that their pupils are attending the Clarinet and Saxophone Day again because Jeffery Wilson will be leading the Improvisation Session. The sessions that he takes are fun, yet challenging so all are gaining from the experience
Philippa Bunting
Deputy Director (Academic), RNCM Centre for Young Musicians
A prodigious performer and composer, perhaps Jeffery's greatest generosity lies in his respect for and encouragement of people's musical efforts at every level from the earliest to the most advanced. He is generous with his time, his advice, his knowledge and his music, and has touched the lives of a huge number of musicians.
Debbie Holme

Derek N Rodgers

Jeffery Wilson's lively and infectious character, creativity and ability to enthuse and motivate all who work with him has been the keystone to the success of Junior Guildhall's composition department
Michael Christie
Cellist and Composer
Jeffery Wilson is a hugely talented and communicative musician, his special gift is the relaxed and vivacious rapport which he immediately establishes with his audience. Jeffery Wilson's music, rarely for these times, is both direct and warmly emotional. He explores his fascinating and pleasing musical textures with consummate craftsmanship, honed by years of performing experience and informed by a wide-ranging knowledge of 20thC and contemporary practice in both the classical and jazz spheres.
Susie Self
Composer / Singer
Jeffery is not only an outstanding musician in the sense of his playing saxophone and composing but he also brings an openness to audiences and students which inspires them to ride high on the tidal wave of music's pleasure Jeffery's music is always sensuous and delicious to sing, his sensitivity to text is deeply touching. The Way to Glory by Jeffrey Wilson has a depth of sincerity in its musical expression that I have rarely encountered in this type of devotional oratorio/opera.
Henk Alkema
Composer and Jazz Pianist
Although Jeffery Wilson has never been my teacher, his opinion about my music is of the most importance to me. His many-sidedness is never conflicting with the broad musicality he possesses. I don't know anybody who can play music as good as talk music and the other way around!! Some consider musicality as a gift, I consider Jeffery Wilson as a gift!
Guy Barker
Composer and Jazz Trumpeter
I have enormous respect for Jeffery Wilson as a composer, educator and human being. I started studying composition with him in 1999. Only a few months later my whole musical life had changed. Composition became paramount for me and I subsequently wrote all the material for my album 'Soundtrack' which culminated in a suite. Sounds in Black and White for 7 piece Jazz group and symphony orchestra plus a 20 min wind quintet and 3 pieces for 2 violins amongst other things Without Jeffery's inspiration and guidance these pieces may have just have remained ideas in my head Thank you Jeffery

Some people are extaordinary, some people are very talented and generous beyond measure without thought of reward. Very few, understand the root essence of the Universal language of music and how it can bind us together in a positive world. To help others to learn this wonderful language is gift. More than anyone else I have met, my friend Jeffery Wilson embodies all these rare qualities and we live in better world because of it.
